Absurdly difficult and fun =D
The game is fun, taking as example the hilarious expressions of frogs in time to face a Boss. But the player will not always laugh with Battletoads. The absurd difficulty causes the player to play the same scenario dozens of times, memorizing every detail of the level to perform the actions in advance and at the correct time.
Finishing the game is a rare achievement attained only by more patient and stubborn gamers. The immense difficulty makes the game virtually impossible in multiplayer mode, as players have to be in a perfect synchronization, or they'll end up disturbing each other.Not to mention that the players can hurt each other unintentionally.This can generate an unfriendly reaction from another player. It is not uncommon for forget two frogs need to complete the stage and be exchanging blows or chasing each other with a vengeance!
Despite the difficulty, Battletoads is an excellent game and deserves a place on the shelf of any Genesis fan.
