Good Morning Vietnam!

User Rating: 9 | Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Vietnam PS3
Here it is boys and girls, Battlefield Bad Company 2 Vietnam. It was released just a few hours ago on my PSN store (I live in Singapore). It costs me about $20 and I downloaded this bad boy and what do you know, IT WAS GOOD!

But ahmm, so back to the thingy, the add-on is a content-heavy expansion to the hit-shooter, Battlefield Bad Company 2 which has sold more than 5 million copies. Battlefield: Bad Company 2 is all-out multiplayer warfare at its absolute finest. With this new expansion, the battle moves to tropical Vietnam where the US soldiers engage in battle with the NVA.

So lets get down to it shall we?

Gamplay Mechanics: So basically, the gameplay is the same as Bad Company 2. So those millions of people who play Bad Company 2 almost every single day, will feel at home with Vietnam. Some of you who are a little rusty due to not playing Bad Company for a while, will get some use to it.

Gameplay = 9/10

Graphics: The look of the game is the same with Bad Company 2. But what comes to mind when you head Vietnam? Tropical rainforests, rivers and ruins and a whole lot of NVA stronghold. The graphics here are great to showcase the Vietnam War as it is.

Graphics = 9/10

Sound: The 60s soundtrack is awesome in Vietnam. From the game menu to inside a vehicle, you can listen to the 60s songs like the Ride of the Valkyries, Fortunate Son, and more. What's cooler is that everytime you ride a vehicle, example like a tank, you can choose what songs you want to listen by pressing the analog button left and right.

Sound = 9/10

Vietnam Maps and modes: In Vietnam, there's four maps to choose from. Now while they all have thier own thing, each maps brings a new gameplay experience and have great visuals from the War such as foxholes, tunnels and dense jungles. Personally, my favourite would be Hill 137 simply because the map and flamethrowers are together. In all of the 4 maps, each gameplay mode you see in Bad Company 2, is playable in the expansion. There is a 5th map called Operation Hastings. This map will only be unlocked when 69 million collective team actions such as heal or repair on your OWN PLATFORM such as the ps3. So if you want to unlock that map, do help your team-mates out guys. :D

Weapons: There are 15 Vietnam-era weapons that will be unlocked for you to use from the get go. Most notable of those are the M16, AK47, PPSH and etc. M2 is everybody's favourite flamethrower at the moment. I love it because I believe in frying your enemy into barbeque meat.

Conclusion: Battlefield Bad Company 2 Vietnam is a worthy expansion to the already acclaimed hit-shooter of this generation. With the new weapons to kill, new maps to remember to and a new sound of the 60s to help you along with the killing, this expansion is truly a thing worth getting for. At least, its better than the COD DLC right?
