I have been playing BF since Bad Company and again I am disappointed in the lack of quality. BF 3 was a mess when it arrived and in many ways after 2 years of "fixing" it still is. BF 4 is worse. This definately a DICE product and an EA game. Notorious for publishing games that still should be in the QA stages, EA has yet again shafted the customer. Even though consumers have asked and even screamed for fair play and a decent working product, it seems again to fall on deaf ears. One of the best examples of FAIL is that there is still no region lock. Every playstation has a region setting that must be set when it is first activated. This easily can be used to keep players within their own connection boundaries so they can't use internet delay to their advantage. Essentially it is using a distant connection to cheat or boost their score by allowing them to kill an opponent long before he is able to detect the first shot or even a move around a corner. This has been well documented across the internet since BF 3. Another FAIL is what has been referred to as netcode. Basically it is the programming that attempts to synchronize gameplay. Well to put it simply, BF 4's netcode sucks. Again, this has been documented across the internet and has shown an upwards of half a second delay between two machines connected to the internet and sitting right next to each other. Yet another FAIL is input lag or the delay between pressing a button on the controller and when the action happens in the game. At times you can move to dodge attack and i stantly feel your character getting a bit behind in its movement. The biggest FAIL I have come across is hit detection. I have shot people point blank only to die because not one of my shots registered a hit when clearly you can see the bullets pass through the soldier. Shooting a soldier with a mini gun and just a hit once in a while is infuriating especially when he instakills you long after you spray him with shelld. If it were up to me, if and when this game is fixed then all stats would be wiped. Especially the levell 110 colonels that maxed out rank 2 weeks after the game was released. That is simply impossible to do if all things are on the up and up. If you find it too hard to resist getting the game then at least buy it used. There are no longer codes you must enter like in BF 3 to verify purchase of a new disk.
