I had such high hopes for this episode considering the massive build up throughout the season. John Doe's fate to eventually turn into the Joker is the real highlight of this episode. My main worry was how exactly would John translate to the Joker, How original would he be? And I think they blend both a unique performance as well as bringing the original Joker to life on the screen and it works perfectly.
I love the storyline that built up over the course of the season and it ends perfectly with this finale episode. They tie up all the loose ends but the one sad note is that they don't really establish the next season well. Although, That really wasn't a big factor in the last season either.
The performances were great in this episode by the voice cast. The music during the final section of the game was absolutely perfect and really helped solidify the ending to the episode, Which ends on with a heartbreaking decision for Bruce.
Overall: 10/10
The entire season was brilliant and the season finale is just the cherry on top. I can't wait to pre-order the next season.
