This is only a beat em' up with Batman and the regular story of a villain he needs to take down...nothing more.

User Rating: 7 | Batman: Rise of Sin Tzu PS2
For as long as I've known, I've always been a fan of the 'Dark Knight' known as Batman, because we all know...that he is awesome. (or just a cool super hero)

This game is the debut of a new villain created by Jim Lee, this new villain is known as Sin Tzu, and due to the overall nature of this game, it sort of proves why Sin Tzu doesn't appear in any other media ever again, other than the novel based on this video game.

In any way you put it, this game is just a beat em' up, not a bad one mind you, just a game that isn't really necessary, or even worth caring about, which would probably explain why this game didn't get much commercializing throughout the time of it's release...(onto the review)

Story: 5 (We've been through the same story in different forms for as long as we can remember, you can even tell what the story is just by the cover art of the game)
Graphics: 7.5 (Not bad, but not outstanding either, in example the game looks similar to the video game "Batman Vengeance")
Music: 7.5 (Traditional music similar to other games based on Batman, and the cartoon series)
Control: 8
Sound: 8.5 (Thank goodness the voice of Kevin Conroy give this game a little reason to praise)

I don't want to entirely criticize this game on being pointless, the game-play is actually decent, no tech issues as I know of, the ability to be as Batman, Robin, Nightwing and Batgirl is a somewhat satisfying feeling to do, along with giving them upgrades and other unlock-ables throughout the game gives a little replay value upon the player and or players (2 player co-op is optional in this game), along with other unlock-ables that are, while interesting to know, have little to no purpose in this game (renders and models of characters not even in this game, stories and challenges too boring and or meaningless to try, etc.)

All in all, in terms of a simple beat em' up, this is a good game to play and even enjoy at some terms, for those who are fans of Batman and want to play a game that gives those of even emulating the Dark Knight, they should otherwise ignore this game, despite some interesting things in this game, they aren't really interesting to begin with.
