2011's best-worthy sequel for a game!

User Rating: 9.5 | Batman: Arkham City PC
If 2009 Arkham asylum makes you feel like being batman, its predecessor Arkham city makes you feel like LIVING as batman, from its picture-perfect rendition of Gotham city's arkham, to the color palette of the Batman universe, drenched with a mix of navy blue and black, and to the surprisingly real audio effects ever put to life in any game made. Arkham city is such a beauty to behold. Playing on the PC even offers you more significant detail into such a gorgeous game world. With Nvidia technology, gamers would really be put in awe as clothes react dynamically with the environment, papers fly as wind interacts with them, and glass breaks so real you could almost feel like its being glued to your screen. The visuals are oh-so-worthy of praise but one thing just detracts from its beauty, blurry textures. But still if taken as a whole, might be one of the most artistic designs this year.

Gameplay generally remains the same, with a notable additions of some impressive gadgets and the oh-so-cool moves. Animation very much lives up to its visuals that it would be very hard not to be amazed at this game. From batman's flying kick on a freefall body on midair, to robin's three-man counter simultaneously on the fly. Such combat mechanics never existed before this game and it really works so well it makes Ezio feels like an elephant to use.

The sound for me, did the best part in making the finishing touch on the world of batman. Just closing your eyes and listening to the subtle ambient touch with the wailing of sirens as it darts through the night really makes you wonder how did they made this work of art possible. Cats meow and dogs bark as you traverse through alleys, wind gushes more with respect to your altitude and character voices provides a convincing personality to their persona. From catwoman's seductive tone, two-face's ever disturbing two-person monologue, and even to the least important thugs who are filled with all kinds of emotions from fear, disgust, pride, and hunger.

If all things work together so good in a game, it would be this one. It would be such a pain seeing batman roll the credits however it would only suggest how valuable this game is. To all folks out there, this is just not for kids but to those who are mature enough to appreciate and to behold the significant work put into Arkham City.
