Lots of time spent at the controls, because there were no other options at the time.

There is something to say about being first, ever. This was the first of many pixilated baseball games and set the standard controls for a long time. The good old timing mechanic.

Basically all you did was hit a button to pitch and hit a button to swing. You could move around in the batters box and you just had to time the swing right to get a good hit. Popflys were easy to catch and this was really just a simple control scheme.

The thing is, I played it a lot despite the simplicity. Playing sports games with your friends and family is just always a lot of fun. And having fun is why we play games in the first place.
