A fun, slightly difficult ATV game for the PSP. What can I say, normally I would never buy this but it came with my PSP. Honestly, as much as I like racing games, I would never catch myself spending money on racing game based on All Terrain Vehicles because I really don' t consider racing such vehicles a real sport nor would I choose this over some top 10 game on the PSP like Tekken if I had the choice. Bottom line is, the game can be fun at times but its simply not suited for the PSP because the PSP is not built for comfort nor is the right thumbpad built for gaming. Obviously this has nothing to do with the game but rather with the ill-designed PSP that the game came bundled with. With regards to the game, the visuals are surprisingly good for what I expected on such a small hand-held but I really did not expect much, the customization on your rider and ATV is addictive and the track design is really well done. All the tracks are progressivley harder and more inventive. On the bad, the cost of parts compared to the amount of money you win is really bad, almost making it so that you never get the top gear until the end of the game which means, yeah, its fun to have top level gear and A.T.V.'s but what good are they if you can only use said things for the near end of the game? This is a problem that I think plagues lots of games. Also, the music is really bad, almost switching from 80's to the current cheese bands like Chevelle and others that I wish the PSP would let you use the custom playlist feature that the Xbox 360 allows. I'll just end this by saying that ATV Offroad Fury is a fun game for the PSP but not something I would actually recommend were there other games on the shelf.
