Me vs a million space rocks

User Rating: 7 | Asteroids 2600
Life was good. I no longer needed to feed hundreds of quarters into a machine. I could play at home on my Mom's TV. Asteroids offered the change to take that very little triangle ship and blast big rocks into smaller rocks. What more joy can one experience?

The graphics were acceptable for that time. The game played smoothly and sometimes too quick for that stiff joystick. I needed no stinking colors or fancy graphics to get my high score. There ware no boundaries in this game and I needed nothing more than limitless ammo. If you get the change to play Asteroids, do so. If you can buy the game, do so. Of course, its a classic but its a prime example of good shooting/space game.
Just remember that this is from a time when we didn't have majorly complicated games, we didn't need them. Just come home from school, turn your brain off, and get to button mashing.
