Definitely a series that will inspire movies and more. Absolutely great game to play.

In this first installment of the great franchise, you play as Altair, back in the Templar era and conspiracies of the church and secret groups. The brotherhood of Assassins works to maintain balance.

As Altair there is pretty much everything you can do here from fight pitched sword battles to use agility to climb towers, jump roofs and shimmy ledges and break into a sprint.

Using the eagle eye vision Altair can track his targets and use it to follow or assassinate them depending on the mission. The city of Jerusalem is richly detailed and thriving with active markets, people flooding streets and the guards keeping a watch over the city. Altair can beautifully merge into a group of monks and disguise himself well in case of being spotted or hunted by authorities The throw knives, swords etc are great weapons.

The only problem is with the AI, which I felt was a bit lacking in terms of challenge. The game is very easy on normal difficulty and only occasionally challenges you when surrounded by a group of enemies. This game however is a refreshing change and a great platform which shows what beholds in the future for PC gaming.
