You can now integrate your Excel spreadsheets with sci-fi MMO Eve Online via an official add-on. The spreadsheet client was already used by swaths of the game's user-base. This add-on just makes it easier than ever.

Via Eurogamer, developer CCP Games announced the integration in May 2022 and launched it in closed beta in January 2023 and for Omega subscribers in May. The add-on is now free for everyone. It is the first-ever native Excel add-on for a video game.

The Excel integration requires no prior programming knowledge. The add-on lets you add multiple characters from different accounts. You can analyze your skill point distribution, your finances, and overview assets across every connected character. It can also help you calculate profits and look over the current markets. All players will have access to the same information, so no user will have an unfair advantage.

In other Eve Online news, the game is receiving two major expansions this year. The first, Viridian, just released. It adds PvE missions called Homefront Operations, Lancer dreadnoughts, a variety of visual updates, and more. The second expansion is set to release in Q4 2023. Halloween and holiday events are also set to release at the end of the year.
