Those curious about how The Beatles star Sir Paul McCartney would approach a theme song for an epic sci-fi FPS can finally hear it for themselves.

The theme song, called Hope for the Future, plays at the end of the main campaign mode on Bungie's epic shooter Destiny. You can subject yourself to it in the video above.

It's classic blockbuster material, with a 120-piece Abbey Road orchestra drowning out the general sense of vacuity. We're willing to bet all our Glimmer that you'll forget how it goes by the end of the day.

Hope for the Future is expected to be released as a single. For a short period, McCartney worked with Bungie's composer Marty O'Donnell to help construct the song.

In April, O'Donnell claimed he was fired from Bungie "without cause," and went on to dispute the matter with legal representatives. Three months later, Bungie settled the case and paid O'Donnell about $95,000.
