Y: The Last Man follows Yorick after every mammal with a Y chromosome (males) on Earth dies. That is everyone except for him and his monkey, Ampersand. His goal is to reunite with his girlfriend who was in Australia when the plague hit, but along the way, he meets a bunch of people. These include Dr. Allison Mann, who wants to discover why the plague happened, and Agent 355, who is tasked with protecting Yorick during their journey.

Showrunner Green's other work includes script writing on Logan, Alien: Covenant, and the upcoming Blade Runner sequel. He also runs television series American Gods with Bryan Fuller.
