Xbox One will function without Kinect

@Slade968 @BillyColeman @neotheinstein True.I do think the Kinect 2.0 is a great step in the right direction though. It is no longer just a crappy camera attached to your console for certain really aweful party games but if they can use the Infra Red and all of the other stuff to good use it could potentially turn a crappy peripheral into a must have accessory.

Then if you take it further and start adding things like the Oculus Rift + Kinect 2.0 and the controllers (forget that stupid treadmill) and we are stepping closer and close to actual full body Virtual Reality.

I mean imagine if you have a Rift on and on the HUD there is a heart beat monitor? Which changes as your heart rate changes. How awesome would that be?

But none of that will happen unless developers develop for it and they won't develop for it if they don't put one in the box. For $100 I can put up with such development.

@BillyColeman @Dannystaples14 @Slade968 @neotheinstein Surprised this got so misunderstood. Kinect is garbage, Eye Toy was garbage (although I do remember playing this pretty cool boxing game on it). My point was that Microsoft didn't do anything original when they developed the Kinect.

And since I have nothing against Microsoft or Xbox in general I don't see why not.

MS was up front about there plans Sony has not.
