Microsoft introduces option to try Xbox Live for free--with purchase of Live-enabled game

According to Microsoft, more than 50 Xbox Live-compatible titles will reach store shelves this holiday season, and, with the purchase of select, online-enabled games (listed below), Microsoft will grant a free two-month trial offer of Xbox Live.

As with yearly Xbox Live subscribers, downloads of Xbox Live-exclusive levels, characters, weapons, and content will be available, as will real-time voice chat through the Xbox Communicator headset (sold separately).

The following Xbox Live-enabled games are to include the two-month trial offer:

Acclaim: NBA Jam, Burnout 2: Point of Impact (Developer's Cut), All-Star Baseball 2005 featuring Derek Jeter
Activision: Cabela's Deer Hunt: 2004 Season, Cabela's Dangerous Hunts
Atari: Unreal II: The Awakening, Magic: The Gathering - Battlegrounds, Dead Man's Hand
