Gamescom 2023 is a mere three weeks away, August 23-27, and gaming companies around the world are getting ready for their annual trip to Germany. Xbox will be part of the festivities in Cologne, and today Microsoft revealed its plans for the show--which include "the largest booth" the company has ever built there.

The official Xbox Wire blog post laid out all of the Xbox-related happenings at this year's Gamescom, which are highlighted by 25 playable demos from third-party and ID@Xbox partners. Among the demos are multiple games that will be publicly playable on Xbox for the first time ever, a list which includes the following:

  • Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon (From Software, Bandai Namco)
  • Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty (CD Projekt Red)
  • Jusant (Dontnod)
  • Party Animals (Recreate Games)
  • Payday 3 (Overkill Software and Starbreeze Studio)
  • Persona 5 Tactica (Sega Atlus)
  • Stalker 2 (GSC GameWorld)
  • Towerborne (Stoic)
  • Under the Waves (Spotlight By Quantic Dream\

The booth will also feature theater presentations of Starfield, Forza Motorsport, and Ara: History Untold, as well as playable demos of the "latest content coming to The Elder Scrolls Online and Microsoft Flight Simulator." The full list of playable demos at the Xbox Gamescom booth is available here.

The company will also present Xbox: Live From the Showfloor livestream events August 23-25, which will take "a deeper dive into some of the highly-anticipated games at Gamescom 2023, with gameplay, developer chats and community segments to give you a flavor of the show."

The convention kicks off with Gamescom Opening Night Live August 22 at 11 AM PT / 2 PM ET. Last year's ONL saw the first reveals of Atlas Fallen, Dune Awakening, and The Lords Of The Fallen, as well as updates for High On Life, Gotham Knights, and the re-emergence of Dead Island 2.
