Get ready to play Xbox games in yet another place.

Xbox Cloud Gaming is already available on Xbox consoles, the iPhone in your pocket, and the PC at your desk, and soon it will be available on another platform. As part of the Meta Connect event, the company announced that Xbox's cloud gaming network will be available in mixed reality for Meta Quest 3 this December.

Subscribers to Xbox's cloud gaming network and Game Pass Ultimate can play hundreds of Xbox games--including the recently released Starfield--using the headset. Check out the video below to get a glimpse at what it looks like.

Support for Xbox Cloud Gaming and Xbox Game Pass on the Meta Quest platform was announced at Meta Connect in 2022, but at the time, the company did not provide a release window.

The Meta Quest 3 mixed reality headset launches in October, priced at $500 USD for the 128GB version and $650 for the 250GB edition.

For years already, Microsoft has been making Xbox games available outside of console and PC thanks to the cloud. Microsoft is developing a dedicated streaming device to push further into this space, but the device has yet to be formally unveiled.

This is all part of Microsoft's plan to reach 3 billion gamers and extend Xbox to more places. Microsoft makes billions from Game Pass, and CEO Satya Nadella's pay package is tied to how many subscribers it can achieve. Bringing the service to more people in more places will help Game Pass make even more money and give Nadella even bigger bonuses.
