Securing an Xbox 360 release for Final Fantasy XIII (FFXIII) alongside its PlayStation 3 launch in western markets was a massive coup for Microsoft. The company is obviously keen on making the most of the opportunity and has now announced an Xbox 360 console and FFXIII software bundle for Australian gamers.

The pack goes on sale on March 9 alongside the game's release and will retail for A$599 ($536). Inside the box will be an Xbox 360 console, engraved 250GB hard drive, two wireless controllers, special clothing for your Avatar, and, of course, a copy of the game.

Ubisoft, SquareEnix's Australian distribution partner, also announced that those who get in early and preorder the bundle will receive a limited edition FFXIII faceplate for their console.

At this stage, there's no word on whether Sony Computer Entertainment Australia is planning on releasing its own Final Fantasy XIII bundle with the PS3.
