WWE Summerslam Final Match Card, Start Time, And How To Watch The 2020 PPV

WWE's Summerslam is here. Make sure to check out GameSpot's live coverage of the show, along with a review from the Wrestle Buddies Mat Elfring and Chris E. Hayner.

This weekend is WWE's annual summer event, Summerslam. The show will be taking place at the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida and will have a new feature, the Thunderdome. It's like a giant Zoom call surrounding the ring featuring WWE fans.

It's going to be a busy couple of weeks with Summerslam on August 23 and Payback on August 30, because WWE wants back-to-back weekends of PPVs for some odd reason. The slogan for the show is "You'll never see it coming," which feels much more fitting for Payback, considering it's one week later. And Summerslam is going to be a large event, as it's one of the four pillars for the wrestling promotion. Check out the start times for various time zones below.

Start time:

• 4 PM PT
• 6 PM C
• 7 PM ET
• 12 AM BST (August 24)
• 9 AM AEST (August 24)

Keep in mind that because Summerslam is a bigger PPV, and the Kickoff Show will be one hour long, so that will begin at 3 PM PT / 6 PM ET. There has been one match announced for the Kickoff Show as well, which you can see below.

How to watch:

In order to watch Summerslam, you'll want to subscribe to the WWE Network, as it's a whole lot cheaper than ordering the PPV through your cable or satellite provider. The WWE Network costs $10 a month and aside from being able to stream live WWE events, there is thousands of hours of content from in-ring events to original content following your favorite wrestlers.

Below, you'll find the match card for Summerslam. As of this writing, there are eight matches on the card--six of which are for WWE titles--and more matches may be added through the course of the week, leading up to the event. We'll keep you updated as more matches get added.

• The Street Profits (c) vs. Andrade & Angel Garza (Raw Tag Team Championship)
• Dominik Mysterio vs. Seth Rollins (Street Fight)
• Braun Strowman (c) vs. "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt (Universal Championship)
• Sasha Banks (c) vs. Asuka (Raw Women's Championship)
• Bayley (c) vs. Asuka (Smackdown Women’s Championship)
• Mandy Rose vs. Sonya Deville (No DQ, Loser Leaves WWE)
• Apollo Crews (c) vs. MVP (United States Championship) [KICKOFF SHOW]

Like everyone else on the internet, I certainly have my own opinions about how some of these matches will do, so here are a few predictions for Summerslam--and all of them lead to a rematch at Payback the following weekend.

Predictions:

Mandy Rose vs. Sonya Deville (Hair vs. Hair Match)

I am always pro-hair vs. hair match, something we haven't seen in quite some time. Sonya Deville has been pounding out some of her best promo work at WWE. I love the direction her character has taken since the split with Rose. However, when it comes to the grand scheme of things, I see her losing this match, getting super-angry, and taking her revenge on Rose at Payback. Regardless of the outcome, I want to see this feud continue.

Update: It's now a Loser Leaves WWE no DQ match. I was much more interested in someone losing their hair. I still feel like Rose will win this one and Deville will be inputted into the Retribution faction.

Braun Strowman (c) vs. "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt (Universal Championship)

While the new-and-improved Strowman (that means he cut his hair and is no longer a train conductor) is on the warpath--having no issue tossing around Alexa Bliss--he has a win over Bray Wyatt, but not The Fiend, Wyatt's darker and much-scarier side. Only one person has bested The Fiend so far, and it was Goldberg, and to me, he doesn't count. WWE is putting Strowman in a position where he seems unstoppable, especially with his newly-shaven head, but it's time to put the title back on The Fiend, as his run was cut too short.

Dominik Mysterio vs. Seth Rollins (Street Fight)

Without making too many references to Eddie Guerrero vs. Rey Mysterio's ladder match for the custody of Dominik, Rollins vs. Lil' Mysterio--who is taller than his father--has had a fine build to it over the past few months. Recently, Rollins beat the heck out of Mysterio with a kendo stick, which dealt a ton of damage.

So expect this to be a very violent match, aside from the fact it's a street fight. I expect Dominik to get the win--and to reclaim his own custody papers, so he becomes his own dad--and for he and Rollins to do battle once again at Payback.
