Witcher Season 4 Adds Three More Cast Members

More cast members have joined Netflix's The Witcher for its upcoming fourth season, which will be the first featuring Liam Hemsworth as Geralt after Henry Cavill moved on.

As reported by Variety, Season 4 is adding Sharlto Copley (District 9), James Purefoy (Rome), and Danny Woodburn (Seinfeld) to its cast.

Copley is playing the bounty hunter Leo Bonhart, with Purefoy portraying the spy Skellen. Woodburn plays the dwarf Zoltan.

Season 4 brings back Anya Chalotra as Yennefer and Freya Allan as Ciri. Joey Batey returns as well to portray Jaskier, and Laurence Fishburne joins the cast as Regis.

Here is the story overview for The Witcher Season 4:

"After the shocking, Continent-altering events that close out season three, the new season follows Geralt, Yennefer, and Ciri who are faced with traversing the war-ravaged Continent and its many demons apart from each other. If they can embrace and lead the groups of misfits they find themselves in, they have a chance of surviving the baptism of fire--and finding one another again."

No release date has been announced for The Witcher Season 4, but production is reportedly set to begin early this year. As for the video game series, CD Projekt is now working on The Witcher 4, and it's expected to go into production later this year.
