Where Is Xur Today? (May 27-31) - Destiny 2 Xur Location And Exotic Items Guide

It's Xur's first visit in Destiny 2's new Season of the Haunted--here's where you can find him and what Exotics and Legendaries he's selling.

This trip from Xur is over, but worry not, we've got a guide to Xur's location and items for June 3-7.

It's time to visit Xur: The mysterious merchant has returned in Destiny 2, marking the first time you can encounter him in the new season, and just in time for the launch of the Season of the Haunted's new Duality dungeon, which is live now. Prepare to take on the Nightmares of the Derelict Leviathan with new Exotic weapons and armor--here's where you can find Xur this weekend and what he's selling.

Head to the Hangar area of The Tower to find Xur this week. For his weapon, Xur is offering The Colony. Hunters can pick up the Wormhusk Crown helmet; Titans can grab the Heart of Inmost Light chest armor; and for Warlocks, Xur has the Karnstein Amulets gauntlets.

Xur Location

Look for Xur in the Hangar.

Start at the Courtyard transmat zone in the Tower to get to Xur this week. After spawning in, turn left and head down the ramp, then down the stairs ahead. When you reach the Hangar, hang a left and head north. At the back of the area is a metal staircase leading up to a catwalk, where you'll find Xur.

Xur is present every weekend in Destiny 2, starting with the daily reset at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET each Friday. His exact location is always a mystery when he first arrives, as he is not listed on the map, and for novice players, he can be easy to miss. However, there are a set number of locations where he takes up residence, including the Tower Hangar area, on Nessus in Watcher's Grave, and in the Winding Cove area of the EDZ.

Xur Exotic and Legendary Items

Xur brings The Colony this week, a grenade launcher that's fun to use in the Crucible if you can get Heavy ammo fairly reliably. It fires grenades that grow spider legs and chase down targets, making it easy to guarantee a kill or two every time you load the gun. If you're not a fan of his other options, Xur also sells an Exotic engram that will decrypt into an Exotic you don't already own from the world drop pool. Just note that you can only buy one per week, and the engram is specific to the character class who buys it--so if you're trying to get a new Titan helmet, don't buy the engram with your Warlock. He also has the Xenology Quest, which rewards an Exotic Cipher you can use to purchase Exotics from either Xur or the Tower's Monument to Lost Lights. The quest requires you to either complete Strikes or win matches in Gambit and the Crucible.

  • Exotic Engram - 97 legendary shards
  • The Colony - 29 legendary shards
  • Wormhusk Crown - 23 legendary shards
  • Heart of Inmost Light - 23 legendary shards
  • Karnstein Amulets - 23 legendary shards
  • Hawkmoon - 200 legendary shards, 125,000 Glimmer, 1 Ascendant Shard, 1 Exotic Cipher
  • Dead Man's Tale - 200 legendary shards, 125,000 Glimmer, 1 Ascendant Shard, 1 Exotic Cipher
  • Xenology quest - free
  • Legendary weapons and armor - 50 legendary shards, 1,000 Glimmer

Alongside changes in his location, Xur's inventory also rotates weekly. That means it's worth visiting him each time to check out his new weapons and rolls on Exotic and Legendary armor. You can visit him any time between his arrival Friday and the weekly reset at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET the following Tuesday when Xur departs the Solar System.

The Colony

Don't bother aiming with The Colony, one of the best guns for trolling other Guardians.
Don't bother aiming with The Colony, one of the best guns for trolling other Guardians.

The Colony has long been enjoyed by players in the Crucible because of its ability to usually turn Heavy ammo into free kills. The grenade launcher fires seeking grenades that run along the ground and walls on robotic spider legs to seek out their targets. That makes them extremely tough to dodge and hilariously effective against other players.

Wormhusk Crown

Dodge-masters will want this helmet.
Dodge-masters will want this helmet.

Wormhusk Crown is one of those Exotics that all Hunters should have. It gives you a small bump of health and shield whenever you use your dodge ability, which can be huge for keeping yourself alive in both PvE and PvP content. That extra little boost of health often will make the difference in a gunfight or a sticky situation surrounded by enemies, especially when you pair it well with other aspects of the Hunter class, like Invisibility.

Get the most out of your Titan abilities while using this Exotic armor.

With the new subclass synergy afforded by Void 3.0 and Solar 3.0, Heart of Innermost Light can be an excellent go-to Titan Exotic. Whenever you use one of your abilities, the other two are empowered, making them stronger and more effective. Your empowered abilities also charge more quickly, allowing you to get grenades, melees, and barricades back more quickly. Pair these with builds that allow you to get ability energy from using other abilities and you'll be throwing grenades, shields, and hammers pretty much constantly.

Karnstein Armlets

Punching through enemies with Karnstein Armlets is an excellent way to keep yourself alive. The gauntlets give you health back whenever you land a melee kill, while also kicking off your health restoration to heal you even more. If you're a Warlock who likes to get in close, these can be highly effective in allowing you to wade through lots of enemies in PvE.
