Where to find Archie to unlock the Blue Steel shader.

Comments

Many are wondering where to find Archie in Destiny 2, and for good reason. The mechanical pup is part of a series of quests introduced with Into the Light, which is supposed to kick off with Nimbus in Neomuna.

While the quests aren't available yet, a datamine suggests that Nimbus will give you hints of the dog's whereabouts, which will take you to a few different places. If you're wondering how to complete the Where in the System is Archie? triumph to unlock the Blue Steel shader, this guide details what to keep in mind for future weeks once the quest stops being time-gated.

How to Complete the Where in the System is Archie? Triumph in Destiny 2

Just to make it absolutely clear, while the Where in the System is Archie? triumph is available during the first week of Into The Light, the related quest is time-gated. As such, you'll have to wait until a future weekly reset to see if the actual objectives become available. Once they do, you'll be able to tackle the triumph after completing the questline.

The triumph is in the Secrets tab under the Into the Light category.

According to a datamine in light.gg, the quest is called "Where in Neomuna Is Archie?" and will be available after chatting with Nimbus over at Striders' Gate. Below are the quest steps - just take them with a grain of salt for now:

  1. Visit Nimbus on Neomuna to ask about Archie's whereabouts.
  2. Archie stopped by Nimbus's post hoping to snag an action figure.
  3. Archie wanted to get caught up on everything we know about the Veil.
  4. Archie wanted to check out the views from where Guardians mastered Strand.
  5. Archie's last stop. Archie wanted to try to win a prize for you.
  6. Return to Ada-1 in the Annex of the Tower.

It's unsure whether or not you'll need to be caught up with Lightfall's post-campaign quests, such as Unfinished Business, Parting the Veil, and Unveiled. Considering the quest isn't available yet, it might not be a bad idea to catch up just in case.

Petting Archie at the Tower doesn't count for the triumph. That doesn't mean you shouldn't do it, though.

At the moment, you can find Archie at the Tower. If you head over to the Annex, you'll find the dog in between The Drifter and Ada-1, standing next to what looks like a storage unit.

For now, interacting with Archie at the Tower doesn't count for the Where in the System is Archie? triumph. If you want to pet the dog regardless, you can do so, but you'll have to wait until the proper quest becomes available to tackle the triumph.

Completing Where in the System is Archie? will reward you with the Blue Steel shader, as well as a Bungie Reward Code, although the purpose of the latter is still unknown. As for the quest itself, expect to get a few Trophies of Bravery for your time.
