Battlefield 2042 is finally arriving for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC tomorrow, November 19, and if you are an EA Play subscriber, you can actually play it right now. The multiplayer-only game is sure to get a big audience trying out its various modes right away, but when exactly can you start playing? Well, some history should give us a pretty good idea of that. Here's what we know about the Battlefield 2042 unlock time.

EA Play Early Access Unlock Time

It's worth noting that the official launch date only applies to the standard version. If you have an EA Play membership, you can play a 10-hour trial beginning a full week earlier, which started November 12, and this is unlimited access at the same time with an EA Play Pro membership. You can also purchase the Gold Edition or the Ultimate Edition to get the game a week earlier, as well, though you'll be spending significantly more money. EA Play is included for free with an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription, so you don't need to do anything extra if you already have one. Regardless of whether you have an EA Play Pro membership or purchased a special edition, that early access period has started. You can buy the full game and transfer your progress if you want to effectively get the game early, as well.

Battlefield 2042 Unlock Time

The official unlock times for Battlefield 2042 have been released. They are below, including those that differ from the rest of the regions.

PC: Simultaneous launch on November 19 at midnight PT / 3 AM ET.

PlayStation: November 19, midnight local time in nearly all regions.

  • 9 PM PT and 2 AM BRT

Xbox: November 19, midnight local time in nearly all regions.

  • 9 PM PT, 12:30 AM IST, 11 PM BRT

You can pre-load the game now. If you want to make sure you are playing the second the servers go live, this is the way to do it.

Battlefield 2042 will be the first mainline game in the series since Battlefield 2 to not include a campaign. However, it will support both cross-play and cross-progression, albeit with some limitations. If you are on a last-gen system, you will only be able to play with other last-gen players, while those on PC and current-gen systems will be grouped together.
