(Some Of) The Big Stuff:

Everyone is thinking it and now GameStop said it: the PlayStation Neo is likely to be officially confirmed during Sony's PlayStation news event in New York City next month. During an earnings briefing this week, GameStop management said all will become clear on September the 7th, referencing the news briefing. Sony is expected to officially confirm the Neo and also announced a slimmed-down PS4.

Authorities in Japan said this week that two people died in cases linked to Pokemon Go, believed to be the first fatalities associated with the popular game. In both cases, drivers reportedly distracted by the game struck pedestrians, who later died in hospitals. This is a terrible thing and hopefully we don't hear more reports along the same lines.

PlayStation Plus is getting more expensive in the US and Canada. Sony announced that the subscription service, which you need to play games online, is going up in price to $60 for a year and $25 for three months. The one-month plan is staying at $10. A membership also gets you free games every month. You must maintain your membership to continue to play the PS Plus titles.
