Web teaser for Katamari Damacy sequel goes live

TOKYO--Namco has taken a teaser page for its anticipated sequel to Katamari Damacy live. Now titled Minna Daisuki Katamari Damacy on the official site, the game title translates to "Everyone's Favorite Katamari Damacy."

Namco has yet to disclose much about the title, but gamers can check out four screenshots of Minna Daisuki Katamari Damacy online. The game is slated for release on the PlayStation 2 in spring 2005.

In a posting on the game's site, the developers working on the Katamari Damacy sequel announced that they will temporarily suspend updates on the original game's official site starting today.

"Thank you for always visiting Katamari Damacy on the Web. This site is operated by the development staff, but we will have to stop its updates for a while to concentrate on Minna Daisuki Katamari Damacy's creation. Please look forward to the upcoming Katamari Damacy."
