Water-Cooled GTX 1080 Ti From Corsair And MSI Released Today

Today, Corsair released the Hydro GFX GTX 1080 Ti, which was made in partnership with MSI. It's an overclocked version of the Nvidia graphics card that sports a built-in liquid cooling system to keep the card's temperatures as low as possible. The card also comes with a 120mm radiator and a 120mm white LED fan attached.

Compared to the Founders Edition of the GTX 1080 Ti, Corsair claims the Hydro GFX version stays nearly 50 percent cooler, even under peak load. This creates significant room for overclocking; according to Corsair, its card had a peak core clock speed a little over 1900 MHz, while the Founders Edition's peak core clock was about 1850 MHz.

The following are its core and memory clock speeds in three different modes out of the box:

Boost/Base Core Clock

• 1,506 MHz / 1,620 MHz (OC Mode)
• 1,493 MHz / 1,607 MHz (Gaming Mode)
• 1,480 MHz / 1,582 MHz (Silent Mode)

Memory Clock

• 11,124 MHz (OC Mode)
• 11,016 MHZ (Gaming Mode)
• 11,016 MHz (Silent Mode)

Like all GTX 1080 Ti cards, it's equipped with 11 GB of GDDR5X memory, a 352-bit memory bus, and 3584 CUDA cores. The card can consume up to 250 watts alone and a power supply of at least 600 watts is suggested.

This isn't the first time Corsair and MSI teamed up for an all-in-one water-cooled graphics card. They also made a Hydro GFX version of the GTX 1080 that yielded similar results. It's currently on sale from Corsair for $600.
