The new horror movie Come Play has just released its first trailer. Due out on Halloween this year, the film is about a monster named Larry who manifests through smart devices like iPads. The trailer sets up the main premise's broad strokes: An autistic young boy named Oliver (Azhy Robertson), desperate for a friend, seeks solace and refuge in his tablet and happens upon a haunted app with a mysterious creature inside. Check out the trailer in the tweet below.

Come Play also stars Gillian Jacobs (Community, The Good Wife) and John Gallagher, Jr. (Westworld, The Newsroom). The film is an expanded version of writer-director Jacob Chase's 2017 five-minute short film, Larry, which has a similar plot. Chase, an emerging talent, earned "an exclusive directing mentorship under Zack Snyder on the set of Justice League" on the strength of his 2016 Super Bowl ad, Doritos Dogs.

Come Play, which is rated PG-13, is expected to be released into theaters on October 31.
