Watch Rise of the Tomb Raider's New Music Video

"I Shall Rise."

To herald the imminent launch of Rise of the Tomb Raider, Microsoft has released a new video for it. This one is particularly unique as gaming videos go in that it's actually a music video for "I Shall Rise," the original song that Yeah Yeah Yeahs frontwoman Karen O wrote for the adventure game. Watch it below.

"I Shall Rise" is available now on iTunes, Apple Music, Spotify, Amazon, and other digital music services. It's the first song O's ever written for a video game and is described by O as a "less groovy" nod to Gloria Gaynor's famous tune, "I Will Survive."

O earned an Academy Award nomination for "Moon Song," the track she wrote for Spike Jonze's Her. She's also written music for Where the Wild Things Are and was behind that eerie cover of Led Zeppelin's "Immigrant Song" featured in The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.

Rise of the Tomb Raider launches on November 10 across Xbox One and Xbox 360, while the PC and PlayStation 4 versions launch in 2016. November 10 is the same day that Fallout 4 arrives, but Microsoft has said it's confident that Rise of the Tomb Raider can stand on its own.

GameSpot's Rise of the Tomb Raider review scored the game a 9/10. For more on the game's critical reception, check out this roundup of editor opinions and scores.
