This could be the best new video game trailer you watch today. On Wednesday, Swedish developer Tarsier Studios released the first trailer for their brand new game, Hunger, and it certainly does not disappoint.

Tarsier is calling Hunger a "Suspense-Adventure" game, in that it mixes both elements. Watch the creepy trailer above and you'll probably agree.

In Hunger, you play as a young girl named Six who is trapped in an underwater labyrinth full of monsters. She wants to escape, but danger is at every turn. The game also boasts "hide-and-seek" gameplay and what Tarsier calls a "Dollhouse Perspective," which adds to the general eeriness of it all.

Overall, Hunger "aims to capture the thrill and the terror of being small and weak in a world that isn't." The trailer certainly does a good job of setting the tone.

Hunger is currently in pre-production, though Tarsier explains that an early gameplay prototype is already finished. The game, when it's done, will be available digitally for console and PC. A release date has not been announced.

Tarsier has worked on various LittleBigPlanet games for Sony, and is also currently making Tearaway Unfolded for PlayStation 4. The studio has received funds from the Nordic Game Program and Creative Europe to support the development of Hunger.
