Ubisoft is currently investigating an issue with its recently released open-world action game Watch Dogs that makes it so some players become stuck on the loading screen.

In a pair of tweets from the official Watch Dogs Twitter account, Ubisoft said, "We're aware some of you are stuck on the loading screen. We're hard at work on isolating the problem to find a fix. If you're encountering that issue, please submit a ticket to http://support.ubi.com to help move forward. Thanks for understanding."

According to a Eurogamer report, the loading screen issue appears to be related to Watch Dogs' Uplay rewards. In a 197-page Ubisoft forum thread, numerous users say the game locks up after they redeem Uplay content on PC, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, or PlayStation 4.

This isn't the first issue Watch Dogs has faced related to Uplay. Last week, Uplay services were to blame for issues with the game on Xbox Live, and before that, bugs with the PC version of Watch Dogs locked players out of the game entirely.

Despite these hangups, Watch Dogs broke 24-hour sales records for Ubisoft and went on to sell more than 4 million copies in its first week. Ubisoft expects Watch Dogs to sell 6 million total units, the same lifetime figure of the original Assassin's Creed. The game launched last week for Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, PS4, and PC, with a Wii U version to follow this fall.
