Watch Dogs on Wii U will not launch alongside Xbox One and PS4 versions
The Wii U version of Watch Dogs will be released sometime after June 2014.
Watch Dogs on Wii U is not cancelled, despite earlier rumours, but this version of the game will not be released alongside the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC versions, Ubisoft has confirmed.
Instead, Watch Dogs on Wii U will be released at a later date. The other versions will launch sometime between April and June 2014, Ubisoft confirmed today.
Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot confirmed the news during its latest investor call.
In January, GameStop stores in the US and Italy were reported to have cancelled preorders for the Wii U version of Watch Dogs. A GameStop US representative attributed this to a computer error at the time.
