Watch Dogs 2's Open World Steps Into the Spotlight for New Trailer
Unfortunately, it does not showcase any of San Francisco's excellent burrito spots.
Watch Dogs 2 is set in San Francisco, and now publisher Ubisoft has released a trailer that focuses on San Fran and the surrounding areas. It showcases the various locales, activities, and modes of transportation you'll be able to take advantage of in the upcoming open-world game.
The trailer gives us a look at downtown San Francisco, Marin County, Silicon Valley, and Oakland. While you can drive cars to get around, there are plenty of other ways you can travel including sailing and offroading with quads, dirtbikes, and Jeeps. There's also a bunch of hacking and guns, as is expected from a Watch Dogs 2 trailer. You can watch it in the embed at the top of this article.
Watch Dogs 2 releases for PS4 and Xbox One on November 15. It was recently delayed on PC and will launch on the platform a couple weeks later, on November 29. If you're wondering whether your rig can handle the Watch Dogs sequel, you can check out the system requirements here.
Ubisoft released another trailer last week that showed off the Zodiac Killer preorder DLC mission. It has you tracking down the infamous serial killer who terrorized San Francisco in 1969 and was never caught. The preorder bonus also comes with a cheesy-looking outfit that says "I Saw the Zodiac Killer."
Director Danny Belanger recently talked to GameSpot about how Watch Dogs 2 takes itself less seriously, resulting in a game that's more lighthearted and creative than the first.
