More Resident Evil games can be experienced in VR with these new mods.

Resident Evil 4 is officially supported on the Oculus Quest, allowing players to experience the Raccoon City Police Department in a whole new way. Now, thanks to various modders, Resident Evil 2 and 3's PC versions can be experienced in virtual reality too.

With thanks to UploadVR, the mods to experience the immersive horror games can be downloaded from the Github page of 'praydog'. The mods also work for other Capcom games running on the same engine.

The mods let players experience the game in first person with immersive weapon collision, and all cutscenes in each game can now be experienced in true 3D virtual reality too. To be able to play the games in VR, all you need is PC versions of the game and a VR headset.

With these mods available, it's now possible to experience Resident Evil games in a way that is more immersive and packed with more scares. It is uncertain if we'll see more of the games being officially ported to virtual reality by Capcom. Yet, given the success of Resident Evil 4 when it came to Quest in October 2021, we can hope that later games in the series may be graced with full VR support soon.
