The newly formed development studio Vision Games has revealed its latest game, titled Xavier Fox: The Lost City. With the game the developer hopes to create an immersive world, where every player will have a different adventure depending on the choices they make during the course of the game. The player assumes the role of Xavier Fox, a pirate captain who has awakened in a prison with no memory of his past. He finds himself in a world that is home to six closely situated, yet wildly unique islands, each populated with its own race. Each of the races, such as turtles, penguins, foxes, rabbits, bears, weasels, and others, have their own agenda and react in their own unique ways to Xavier Fox. Throughout his adventures, Fox must work with his allies, identify his foes, and uncover secrets from his own past.

In the game, both the characters and the environments will be affected by the player's decisions. Fox will explore large, organic environments that will transform as the game progresses, this will have a dramatic effect on the gameplay. The game will feature a true 365 day calendar with day-night cycles, and the climate and weather will change according to the seasons. Weather effects such as wind, rain, snow, high- and low-tides, falling leaves, thunder, lighting, and hail will also be part of the game.

The gameplay system will let the player control two separate characters simultaneously. Although, specifics of this feature has not been revealed at this time. However, in general, players will have access to a variety of moves, including the ability to run, jump, dodge, crawl, swim, sneak, steal, attack, and talk with NPCs. Players will also be able to string multiple attacks together to form combos, which can then be saved for later use.

Vision Games hasn't announced a platform for Xavier Fox: The Los City at this time, but sources within the industry would have us believe that the game is currently in development for the Microsoft Xbox. GameSpot will have more on Xavier Fox in the coming weeks.
