Valve's Steam Network Is Down [UPDATE]

@Alexand20: there was a couple hours it was down, or very very very slow, during the summer sale as well.. maybe you lucked out and missed it.

@eridani: It's already back up. Funnily enough, the person claiming responsibility just tweeted "Steam will stay down until I say", and Steam was already back up.

@rickjamesia: If you see a deal in sales, grab it, even if you have a massive backlog, I'd still look for something good.

Rest assured I will work anonymously with Valve to repair Steam servers as fast as possible. The attack is over. Now it's our turn.

@bekyuubi: Oceanhorn and Anodyne if you like Legend of Zelda. Saturday Morning RPG is another game you could look into.

@bekyuubi: Divinity Original Sin EE. Best game I have played in a long time. If you are looking for hand holding look elsewhere.

@bekyuubi: Pillars of Eternity. The Witcher II or III. Dragon Age: Origins, 2, and Inquisition. Mass Effect 1, 2, and 3.

@naotasback: Now Steam users can stop to be jealous of psn/xbl users because they can for 2 hours once a year get the everyday console experience.

@naotasback: Steam has its issues, to be sure. Greenlight brings in the worst games, though there are the very, VERY rare gems. The review system is spotty at best because you get a lot of "joke" reviews who give bad games a positive "for the LOLs."

But for me, it's still the best game delivery system. Especially when you pair it up with bundles from places like Humble Bundle or Bundle Stars.

@naotasback: hmmm.. I don't see any posts that look like people 'rushing in to protect their god'. Looks like your predictions must be off a bit?

Steam runs fine for me outside of the 'outages', which haven't affected me really. The outages usually happen when Im not looking to game.

It is funny though that you clearly have issues with it but, spouted general statements with no reasoning. I guess it is not surprising at all since you are obviously the type of person that does not understand that experiences and opinions are different from person to person. You seem to think that anyone who doesn't share your opinion is delusional or lying? It really shows the lack of intelligent, critical thinking on your part. It's cool though.

If you ever end up feeling like you want to educate yourself, look into some Critical Thinking classes. I'm not sure what level you are currently at but, I think this topic might have been covered by an episode of My Little Pony so, based on your previous post, I would advise starting there.
