Vacation comes out on top
EA's latest expansion for The Sims outsells Jedi Knight II, Heroes IV, and Freedom Force in their first week of release.
Electronic Arts held on to the top spot on NPD Techworld's latest list of best-selling games. The Sims: Vacation, the publisher's latest expansion pack for its incredibly popular virtual-life game The Sims, took first place on the list in its first week of release. LucasArts' eagerly awaited action game Star Wars Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast debuted in second place, followed by 3DO's latest turn-based strategy game, Heroes of Might and Magic IV, also in its first week of release. Freedom Force, the superhero role-playing game published by EA and Crave, debuted in fourth place, and The Sims dropped to fifth place from first place the week before.
