User Maps in Tribes Extreme

Think you have what it takes to design a mission for the upcoming Tribes Extreme?

Comments

Dynamix and Sierra are holding an aptly named Tribes Open Call for user-created missions for its upcoming game, Tribes Extreme. While the development team will design the majority of the single and multiplayer missions themselves, they've also allotted a few slots for maps created by Tribes players. Those lucky and talented enough to get selected will get the satisfaction of knowing that their level will be played by thousands of gamers when Extreme ships this fall.

A brief synopsis of the entry specifications is listed below. For the complete contest rules, visit the Tribes Players website linked to the right.

Mission Entry Specifications:1) A maximum of two (2) entries per person. 2) One of the missions must be a Capture The Flag (CTF) mission and the other will be the user's choice.3) Only things found in the current build of TRIBES will be accepted (i.e. no new buildings or art). 4) No mods or scripts.5) Missions that are inappropriate to the public will not be considered.6) Only those missions that provide fast-paced, balanced and exciting gameplay will be considered.7) Dynamix may and will modify submitted missions to improve gameplay, appearance or performance.8) ALL entries become the property of Dynamix.

Art Entry Specifications:1) One texture set entry per person.2) Textures must be appropriate for the general public. Skins containing excessive nudity, profanity, and so on will probably not make it. Use your judgement and save us some time.3) Textures should be a substantial change from the original skins - do NOT take the diamond sword skin set, change it to blue, and send it back to us.4) No entry may use copyrighted material or that which resembles copyrighted material. That includes pro sports teams, company symbols, music groups, comic book characters, etc. 5) Dynamix reserves the right to make changes to whatever is sent in.6) ALL entries become the property of Dynamix.
