Unreal Tournament III having a 360-degree summer

WHAT THE **** Why don't ps3 owners get split-screen? This is garbage. I thought you were better than this Epic.

The game was not to good.

Its about time. to be honest I didn't know it had come out on the PS3 until I saw it at the gamestop I work at I didn't hear any hype about it or anything for the PS3!

Why the PS3 got the game first is beyond dumb from a sales figure point of view. I guess Epic and Midway don't really like money like most gaming company's? Releasing the game on the 360 first would have been the best decision. I guess better late than never huh?

EXxile, i own both PS3 and 360, and i also waited for the 360 version. My PS3 is for exclusives, real exclusives.

What about the ability to use mods?

Yeah baby!! split screen! i like split screen, but no good online games have it, except for gears of war and halo.

PS3 cheated out of what? Yeah its really cool 360 gets a few xtra maps, but if you look at the 100 mods I have for UT3 for my PS3 (all for free), it doesn't matter. 360 has some goodness and PS3 has mod goodness. Both good but to say the PS3 got the shaft, is a gross overstatement. I have Halo maps, Battlefield maps, Lego maps and the list keeps growing, all for free. And don't give me this mods are coming from XNA, is XNA an Unreal tool, I don't think so. And trust me microsoft will make EPIC charge for maps.

Good thing I waited for the 360 version.

there better not be host advantage, quitters, glitchers, and a complete lack of support for the game as Epic did with Gears

360 mods will be possible via XNA but there is still little info on this.

Are the 360 users going to be included on the PC and PS3 servers with the rest of us?

I wish they would fix the issues on PC version first... or even care about the PC version... because I know I'm never buying another UT game unless Epic pulls their inflated head out of their butt and come back down to earth because the way they are choosing to do business now is going to heart them in the long run...

I guess I won't be playing UT3. Split screen was what I was looking for so I can play with friends when they're over, and I won't play the 360 version because they insist I have to pay subscriptions fees to play 100% of my games. I guess I'll keep playing COD4 until Haze comes out.

Can't wait to play this over xboxlive btw when this is released for 360 all its updates, maps extra etc will be available for PC and PS3 gamers as well

I guess when the guys aren't focused on doing the game for 2 platforms at the same time and learn from the problems of the original releases only benefits the 360 version. Too bad the original releases only pissed off the UT community no one will care to about this version. Save your money and wait for UT4 if Epic even bothers to continue with the series.

I can rpgfreak15 its simple in order for the graphics to have no hit in splitscreen it takes more developement time to do it theres your answer. In other words if they wanted to add splitscreen they would've had to take just as much time on ps3 and delay it.

And no MODS. Doesn't that ruin the point?

No one cares about this game anymore, leave it on the PS3. I'll wait for Gears of War 2.

What the F? How does this make any sense. The 360 version has SPLITSCREEN while the PS3 version doesn't? Can anyone please fill me in on this...i havent played UT III in like months after i got COD4 & Burnout Paradise. It seems like Epic is clearly favouring MS.

Mods!!!!! I highly doubt you would be able to download mods willy-nilly. What i think is going to happen is that MS is going to allow Epic to "publish" good mods for the X360. Atleast, that is what i hope they are going to do.

Are there support for mods on the 360?

You forgot to mention that it will also be coming with new features aswell as something like 6 new maps etc.. :) It only sold 400k on PS3 i wonder if they now regret that seeing as fps games generally do quite well sales wise on 360?
