Unreal Tournament III having a 360-degree summer

ok but what about mods? UT isn't UT without mods, plus on surprised its even coming to the 360, Microsoft does not like getting inferior versions of games on its system, case in point they finally let capcom make bionic commando rearmed file size bigger because the graphics were going to be inferior to the ps3, or that long speach they sent to gamepro after they concluded that recent multiplatform online games were better on the ps3

It's interesting with people arguing between about the PS3 and 360 version, when anyone with more then 10 brain cells could easily point out that's it's better then both of those on the PC.

Better late than never but a real shame the 360 can't have mods.

i played it enough already on ps3 and pc. It runs pretty well but looks like crap compared to what they promised. the singleplayer was a bomb too. I'll still probably get it for collecting purpose

Jeez, this is taking way too long. C'mon, Epic... I'll definitely get this game when it comes out, but, I mean, these types of delays are so freakin' lame.

Actually, just thinking about the new characters for the 360...I wonder how many days it'll take before someone makes character mods for the PS3 of them. Hell, wouldn't surprise me to see someone just duplicate the "exclusive" maps. Which would basically make it so Epic wouldn't even have to bring any of the new stuff to the PS3.

Miss_Wacy as far as I know they never said it was a timed exclusive because it takes longer to make on the 360 I mean by what you said every game takes longer to make on the 360 which I believe GTA IV was easier to make on the 360 if I remember correctly from some article on here a few months ago. They could not have started on the 360 version when they originally started making the game.

Out of curiosity, how many 360 users plan on picking this up? As a PS3 owner, I just couldn't get myself to care about this title despite the great reviews.

See, here's the thing. The new maps and characters could easily become DLC for the PS3 in the future, while no mods for the 360 means its an inferior version. Personally can't stand split screen play, so it wasn't a big loss for me. The PS3 is still clearly the superior version.

No Mods???????????? No keyboard and mouse support??? I'd rather stick with The PS3 version...!! Screww split-screen and 3 new maps! Big deal !!

this game is going to do better on the 360 but that dosent mean it will be better on the 360 on the pc and ps3 you can make your own maps for this game and on the ps3 you can play this game with a mouse and keyboard

To those who said there won't be any mods. I don't know if we can safely say that yet I mean look at Unreal Championship 2 the Liandri Conflict? Didn't it have mods built into it that had to be unlocked by playing singleplayer mode? Couldn't they do the same here? We haven't heard much in the way of any further details let's just wait and hear from Epic. So when will there be an Unreal Championship 3?

I heard lots of things when it first came out for PC, and I was hyped now that the hype has gone away for me I will have to play a demo first. However, it's cool to see all this features added to the game for the 360 console.

So, no mods then? Seems odd not to talk about that when it is what they have been fighting for these last couple of months...

Was interested in this, but i doubt i will pick it up for 360, i've always preffered Unreal stuff to be on my PC. Maybe when i upgrade my PC to play Crysis sometime i will get this as well.

This game sold poorly on PS3, Should have been a 360 game all along, its what sells on 360, on PS3 i'd avoid FPS like this as its not the style of game PS3 owners want anyway. It's another blow for PS3 though as its another game thats inferior to the 360 version, too much of that going on.

I guess waiting does have some perks. I feel kinda burnt not getting to play the Gears and the Mass Effect extras though, but these UT3 perks are small consideration since the add ons are pretty minor. I really cant wait for this game, UT 2004 was one of my favorite games.

I think I got bored with this series after UT 2003. I actually had more fun playing the original Unreal Tournament. Not sure why.

I have not got this game yet, but my 360 is not online so I would get it for my PS3 (if I get it at all, warhawk is good enough). But does this meant that the ps3 version has split screen as well? If not I will definately stick to warhawk as it does. though the mods look cool. I saw a lego one once that was fully destructable, with lego soilders that would be great.

The PS3 version wasn't very good, the whole mod thing didn't really add anything to the game, so it wan't fun. I doubt the 360 version will be much better. There will probably just be more players online.

The 360 can get all of the different (read, NOT extra) levels they want the PS3 can easily mod them, hell, the PS3 already has Samus and Master Chief, plus at least two Multiplayer boards from Halo2 already; what can't the mods do?

I'd like to see a UT3 gold edition for PS3, which is $10-$20 cheaper, includes any updates or DLC they've put out, and maybe something else, and try and relaunch the damn thing. Such a great game, and it's so unfortunate it didn't sell too well.

i got it the same week it came out on ps3, and i just sold it recently....its TOOO hard to play online, and this is coming from a regular high scorer in cod4.....unreal tournament 3 is only for pros, there is a VERY steep learning curve....however the graphics and sound are nice:P

im still up in the air about if i want this game or not

I look to the day when the barrier of console exclusivity will fall and fanboys will unite as one. Until then, games like UT3 and CoD 4 lead the way.

Xbox 360 gets no mods. Anyone who says only assumes, Mark Rein only said "If this version gets it or not..". It's a maybe, which will probably be a big no. @Timstuff: I agree

With the competition as fierce as it is right now in the shooter market, why do people think that the 360 version on UT III will sell any better than the PS3 and PC versions? Particularly if Epic and Microsoft are ridiculous enough to launch it anywhere near their own Gears 2. UT III has no purpose being released on any more platforms. It just wasn't that good. Turns out, people don't like being sold a decade shooter that has just been dolled up with a new graphics engine.

UTIII sucks anyway. No one even plays it on PC while UT2k4's servers are still rocking the clock.

PS3 gets MODS, and Keyboard and mouse, so I really don't care about the very little extras the 360 is getting. It's actually kinda funny.
