Universal Interactive has revealed its 2002 lineup, which includes releases across multiple platforms. Of particular note, Universal said that the upcoming Bruce Lee game for the Xbox will be released in Q3 2002 and that The Fellowship of the Ring will be released on the Xbox in Q4 2002. In addition, the company announced a new title for its Jurassic Park game, which will now be called Jurassic Park: Project Genesis. It should be released in Q4 on both the PlayStation 2 and the Xbox.

In related news, Sierra--which is also owned by Vivendi--has announced that a game based on J.R.R. Tolkien's The Hobbit--the novel set before the events that transpire in The Lord of the Rings--is being developed for the GameCube at Inevitable Entertainment. There aren't many specific details available about the game, but Sierra did say that it would take the form of a third-person action-adventure game in which players assume the role of the hobbit, known as Bilbo Baggins.

We'll have more on the game as it nears its release sometime in 2003.
