The upcoming Uncharted movie has been pushed back by Sony to February 18, 2022. Prior to this announcement, it was going to release on February 11.

The Columbia Pictures film--a subsidiary of Sony--will have a theatrical release in early 2022 in premium large formats and in IMAX. The film is directed by Ruben Fleischer (Zombieland: Double Tap) featuring a screenplay by Art Marcum (Iron Man) & Matt Holloway (Iron Man) and Rafe Judkins (Agents of SHIELD).

The upcoming movie is based on the game Uncharted: Drake's Fortune. Tom Holland will star as Nathan Drake and will feature Mark Wahlberg as Victor Sullivan, Sophia Ali as Chloe Frazer, and Antonio Banderas in an unrevealed role.

The Uncharted movie was originally going to release on July 16, 2021 before it was pushed to February 11, 2022 earlier this year.

Star Holland was putting in the work for this movie, which involved a lot of action sequences for him. "I was getting so beat," he told Esquire. "I was battered and bruised, and I had tendinitis in my hamstring. I will never do a sword-fight scene ever again."

The Uncharted movie has been in development hell since 2008, and a lot has happened since then. Check out GameSpot's breakdown of everything that's happened to the Uncharted movie the past 13 years.
