It is very strange to hear this.

This is an Eddie article, however, for all we know this actress was a part of the story and development the entire time and the article is written in such a way to generate concern and clicks.

It contains key components of an Eddie article:

1) confusion created by a lack of important details.

2) mention of competition to generate arguments for comments.

3) carefully crafted title to bring maxim hits.

They never said "she was just being added" they have just unveiled yet another character to the story arc! She (along side many more hidden voice gems probably) were on the project from long ago but are just being relieved to the public's presence now!

@lrdfancypants: Well the way Voice acting is incorporated in games these days gives them more wiggle room, scripts can be made and added to the finished game as usually the scene is created in real time than simply plopped in the game as a video file, or for real time cutscenes it's possible to simply add the animations and voices recorded to the character.

I admit this is still a bit worrying, but when you understand the process used it's not something generally to worry about.

It makes no sense. I admit I know very little on game development but it sure does seem awfully close to release to do that.
