Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 is 12 years old, but the community of players supporting it is still thriving today. Not only did the game see a record number of registrations at Evo 2023 earlier this month, but now the UMVC3 modding community has unveiled a new trailer for a single downloadable mod featuring many of the game's new additions.

Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3: Community Edition is the name of the fan modding project, which will package multiple mods for the PC version of UMVC3 into one single download. Over 50 modded characters will be included, with the list including Asura from Asura's Wrath, Batsu from Rival Schools, Resident Evil 4's Leon Kennedy, and multiple imported characters from Marvel Vs. Capcom Infinite.

The trailer also teases four never-before-seen characters which are "coming soon" to the available mods list, with three more teased via silhouette at the end of the video. The four revealed characters are as follows:

  • Dan Hibiki from Street Fighter Alpha
  • The Thing from Fantastic Four
  • Gene from God Hand
  • Nero from Devil May Cry 5

Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3: Community Edition is "an upcoming fan mod that packages most existing character/skin mods into one package," according to a comment on the video by the account owner ModdedMarvel. No specific information was given regarding when the single download package will be available to the community.

The core version of Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 is available for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC via Steam.
