UFO renamed

UFO: Aftermath is the new title of Altar Interactive's upcoming turn-based tactical combat game, which aspires to capture the spirit of X-COM.

Altar Interactive has announced that its upcoming turn-based tactical combat game will now be titled UFO: Aftermath. The game was originally in development at Mythos Games as Dreamland Chronicles: Freedom Ridge, but it was canceled last year and later picked up and renamed UFO: Freedom Ridge by Altar Interactive.

UFO: Aftermath features squad-based tactical combat, 3D graphics, and a sophisticated physics engine. The game has been hailed as the spiritual successor to the 1993 turn-based strategy game X-COM: UFO Defense. UFO: Aftermath is scheduled for release by Virgin Interactive in late 2002.
