You Don't Know Jack creators Berkeley Systems is teaming up with NBC and will run a Must See TV-themed contest that will see the winner jet off to LA to see a taping of Friends. The special contest will take place from Sept. 29 to Oct. 5.

Spectrum HoloByte is shipping its Spells of the Ancients add-on pack for Magic: The Gathering today. The disc contains over 140 new cards for gameplay.

The nice guys at Westwood Studios have contributed more than US$140,000 worth of computer equipment to the University of Nevada at Las Vegas. To compliment the hardware, Westwood secured the additional support of Microsoft, Kinetix, and NewTek on the software side - all to benefit the university's computer graphics program.

GT Interactive heaved its own shot over the bow on Monday responding to a Scavenger suit filed on Friday. GT said Scavenger's complaint was "completely ludicrous and without legal merit." GT said it will respond in kind with a counter-complaint and may seek damages as well.

Cavedog Entertainment is jazzed about the upcoming release of Total Annihilation, due in stores this weekend.
