Tournament TV instilling F.E.A.R.

If you like playing F.E.A.R. but don't much care for drinking green beer, you're in luck. On St. Patrick's Day--aka next Friday--GameSpot will be holding the championship of its Fight the F.E.A.R. Tournament. As one might guess from the title, the weeklong event will test players of VU Games' and Monolith Software's first-person PC shooter's skills. The top dog in the tourney will win $1,000 of Best Buy gift cards. Registration opens this Friday, March 10, at 3 p.m. PT (6 p.m. ET), with the actual tournament beginning on Tuesday, March 14. The finale will be shown on GameSpot Tournament TV at 6:30 p.m. (PT) on Friday, March 17. Besides the online carnage, the Tournament TV broadcast will also sport a halftime trivia contest and a prize drawing.
