Total Immersion Racing announced
Empire Interactive's next driving game will have computer-controlled drivers with unique personalities and driving styles.
Empire Interactive has announced Total Immersion Racing, its upcoming driving game for the PC, Sony PlayStation 2, and Microsoft Xbox. In the game, players will follow a career path that takes them from being the lowest-ranked driver of a GT sports car to becoming a world champion racer in control of a powerful 8-liter prototype racecar. The game will combine realistic competitive racing with an advanced AI system that gives the computer-controlled drivers unique personalities and driving styles. In addition, opposing drivers will have different responses to the player's actions, and they may even hold a grudge if the player's driving upsets them.
Total Immersion Racing is in development at Empire's UK-based Razorworks studio and is scheduled for release in the third quarter of 2002.
