European gamers hoping to get their hands on all the previously announced PlayStation 3 launch titles this week may have to revise their plans. A total of five titles will not be making it to shelves on March 23, according to a last-minute announcement made by two top publishers.

Bethesda Softworks' epic role-playing game Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion has been pushed back to April 27, and Ubisoft's Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Double Agent will now be on sale the week after the console's launch, March 30. Other Ubisoft-published titles that won't make the launch are Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2, coming in June, and Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas, which is now touted as coming in "spring 2007."

Vivendi Games also confirmed that the supernatural-themed first-person shooter F.E.A.R. will also not be a launch title for Europe and will likely be released on April 20 instead.
