Top 20 Best-Selling PSN Games for July 2016

Only one game from the past two months was in the top five.

Sony today released its monthly list of the best-selling PlayStation Store games for July 2016, and for the second month in a row, it was a bit of a weird one.

Like in June, the PS4's top five in North America is not compromised of especially recent games. It wasn't a huge month for new releases, but it's still a surprising list: God of War III Remastered took the top spot, with The Last of Us Remastered, Minecraft, and Grand Theft Auto V also topping the charts. The only newer release in the top five was the No. 2 game, 7 Days to Die, which launched at the end of June.

With even fewer releases on PS3 and Vita, it's a similar story on those platforms. LittleBigPlanet 3, The Last of Us, and Minecraft topped the PS3 list, while the Ratchet & Clank Collection, God Eater: Resurrection, and Adventures of Mana were on top for Vita.

Read on for the full lists or head to the PlayStation Blog for a rundown on the best-selling DLC.

Can someone explain to me how Uncharted 4 didn't even crack the top 20?!?! Could it be that the digital sales for the game aren't being tracked or something?

@ahhh786: Probably the people that will buy it at full retail price have already bought it. Others are waiting for it to go on sale before purchase.

And people still complain about the "no games" discussion. Old games, remasters and less games sold as gamers that already have won´t buy them again.

This list isn't very surprising. The older games are all ones that went on sale.

@gotrekfabian: Hahaha was thinking just that!

He probably wasn't able to get "Doom" to pass thru the profanity filter so he wrote "Dom"
