Spider-Man actor Tom Holland has given an update on Spider-Man 3, which he is currently filming in Atlanta. Speaking to Collider, Holland said he didn't read the script start-to-finish because the producers have been making changes on the fly, it seems. [Update: We now have a title and release date: Spider-Man: No Way Home releases on December 25.]

"Well, unfortunately I had to read it in sections because there is an element of figuring it out as we go on this one, as there is with most of these big movies, but it is fantastic," he said.

Holland's mention of the script being in flux is interesting when you consider the rumors that Spider-Man 3 will involve the multiverse, but for now, the story remains a mystery. It is confirmed, however, that Alfred Molina's Doc Octopus and Jamie Foxx's Electro, who exist in different Spider-Man universes, will appear in Spider-Man 3.

Holland went on to reiterate that he believes Spider-Man is the "most ambitious standalone superhero film" he's ever worked on.

"It's incredibly exciting, it's funny, it's emotional, it's everything that you'd want in a superhero film. I'm loving it," he said. "I mean I've loved all of them, but I've never had as much fun as I have on this one. Being with Jacob [Batalon] and Zendaya again, being with [director] Jon Watts again, with [producers Amy Pascal and Kevin Feige] and all those guys, it's just like a family. We're having a great time and we're really, really making something very special."

Holland next's movie is the action-thriller Cherry, in which he plays a former soldier who is addicted to pain pills. He is also set to star alongside Daisy Ridley in the sci-fi movie Chaos Walking. Both films arrive in March. The next Spider-Man movie is scheduled for December 2021, with Holland's Uncharted movie arriving in February 2022.

In other news, Holland and other actors from Spider-Man 3 recently teased fake titles for the next Spider-Man movie, including "Phone Home," "Home Slice," and "Homewrecker."
